What are the roles of kinetochore proteins in axonal organization and neuronal cell body positioning?
The C. elegans model is a powerful system to study how cytoskeletal regulators (like the kinetochore) shape the nervous system. We have found that kinetochore proteins regulate axon and neuronal cell body positioning (please see the following publications from our lab: Cheerambathur 2019 and Ouzounidis 2024).
